About Molly Mae

Hello, it’s so nice to meet you!

My name is Molly Mae, and I would love to work with you on your next project! I was born and raised in southwest Florida, and am currently based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

I received my Bachelor’s in Creative Writing with a minor in Film Studies from Florida State University in 2022, and I’ve always had a passion for reading and writing and exploring storytelling in every format.

My favorite genres to write are LGBTQ+ modern fiction, horror, speculative fiction, and science fiction/fantasy. I also have experience editing in creative nonfiction, realistic fiction, horror, historical fiction, fantasy, and science fiction. In terms of specialties, my favorite projects to work with involve LGBTQ+ characters and themes, or regarding characters with disabilities.

In my spare time I love to travel, play video games, and spend time with my partner and two dogs.

For more information on my specializations, skills, and software I use, please check out my EFA profile!

I do not incorporate Generative Artificial Intelligence at any stage in my work and am not open to working with projects where Generative AI has been used.

My Mission

Being a writer can often feel like a very solitary experience. For beginning hobbyists and aspiring authors alike, everyone can benefit from having additional eyes on a project, and likeminded creative partners who can push them to improve on every draft. I believe every writer can produce their best works with the right team in their corner.

At its core, I believe in the power of collaborative storytelling, and that we as writers thrive when we have a supportive team in our corner. When working with a client, my goal is to assess their biggest strengths and weaknesses, and assist in making their voice stronger or reinforce the foundation of what they already have to improve their work.

My goal with North Star Creative Services is to work with new authors who are looking for assistance in the editing process, or just want a new pair of eyes to look over their work before taking the next steps in publishing or querying an agent.
